Please join us for the 9th Annual TOUR DE FREDERICK to be held August 10-12, 2018. Proceeds will benefit Boys & Girls Club of Frederick County and Rotary Club of Carroll Creek.  This event offers cycling enthusiasts of all ages and skill levels unique routes that showcase the beauty of Frederick County, emphasizes our county’s rich history and fosters camaraderie among riders. This event has grown dramatically since its inception and over 700 participants are expected this year.  When you ride in the TOUR DE FREDERICK you are supporting the youth in Frederick County!

The Boys & Girls Club mission is to enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens. The Club serves over 200 at-risk children in the Frederick Community through after school and summer programs ; Power Hour (homework assistance), ClubRiders (bicycle safety and training), SMART Moves (dealing with peer pressure), NetSmartz (internet safety), and Torch Club (leadership development).  The Club provides a fun and safe environment for our children.

Rotary Club of Carroll Creek has forged lasting relationships in the Frederick community.  A sampling of some of the programs include:

  • Lincoln Elementary –RCCC members read to students in the school’s third grade classes and honors a Student and Teacher of the Year each May
  • Middletown High School Mock Interviews – RCCC members conduct mock interviews of high school seniors to help prepare them for both the college and work interview process
  • Police Athletic League – each holiday season, the members of RCCC hold a Santa Day that allows kids served by PAL to choose, wrap and deliver gifts to their caregivers
  • Officer of the Month – since downtown Frederick is RCCC’s home, it was a natural fit to recognize the law enforcement officers that keep our streets safe

The activities and programs operated by the club are too numerous to list here.  You can find out more about what we do by visiting RCCC in Action.
