Detailed information on rest stop locations/times will be noted on individual cue route sheets.
Bike techs will be available at rest stops, however, it is important to tune your bike prior to the ride.
240-874-7433 (RIDE). The Emergency Contact number will be printed on the cue sheets and bib numbers too.
First aid kits are available at all rest stops and SAG vehicles.
There is ample free parking available at Walkersville Volunteer Fire Hall or any other parks we choose to start the routes.
Yes! We can transfer your registration from solo to a team. However, you must e-mail us at biketourdefrederick@gmail.com to request the change. You will get an e-mail confirmation once the change is made.

We're sorry, but refunds will not be issued. Your registration fee provides a safe place for the kids at Boys & Girls Club of Frederick County where they can build supportive relationships and build great futures!
The event is held RAIN OR SHINE.
YES. All riders are required to wear helmets and while we can't control you on your unsupported ride, we STRONGLY RECOMMEND you always wear a helmet. It's the law and we want you to protect your noggin!
Provided you registered and placed the order by March 28th, you will receive the jersey at packet pick up.
A second order of cycling jerseys will be placed shortly after the ride. Please allow approximately 4-6 weeks for delivery.

To ensure you will have your jersey for the ride, please raise at least $500 or purchase a jersey BEFORE March 28th.
11:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the Walkersville Volunteer Fire Hall on Saturday, 6/10/23.
If you are between sizes, we recommend selecting the larger size.  As with most cycling jerseys, your jersey size might be 1/2 to 1 full size larger than your size in a collared shirt or t-shirt. Peak 1 is our provider. Here is their jersey size chart.

Donations FAQs

Yes. You can make a donation to a member on a team or you can make a donation to the team in general.
No, each team member must raise $500 to be eligible to receive the free cycling jersey.  If you complete your fundraising goal by April 19th, you will receive your jersey in time for the Tour de Frederick.  If your fundraising is completed after April 19th, you will receive it after the ride.

YES. Boys & Girls Club of Frederick County is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. Contributions are tax-deductible to the extent of the law. Our IRS tax identification number is 26-3424855.
Any donor who mailed their donation and provided an address will receive a receipt via mail once the donation has been processed.
Yes, anyone who donates online will receive a receipt via email.
When you make a donation online, you can designate what you want to appear as your recognition name on the participant's Honor Roll. This may be your name, or it could be something such as "From the whole Wolf family" or "in memory of Aunt Cathy."

Fundraising FAQs

There is no required fundraising commitment for a solo rider but we encourage all riders to raise funds for the kids at Boys & Girls Club of Frederick County. 
There is no fundraising requirement to be part of a team. However, if you want to take advantage of the camaraderie with your teammates, we strongly encourage it. 
The Top 20 fundraising bib numbers will be assigned based on funds pledged as of May 31st at 5 PM.
If a donation check has been written out to you personally, endorse the back of the check and mail it in with a completed donation form to Boys & Girls Club of Frederick County, 413 Burck Street, Frederick, MD 21701 c/o TDF, OR you may turn it in at check-in on the day of the ride.

You can't enter a check online. What you can do is enter a check as a pledge. This can be done in the fundraising section of your headquarters page.  Please mail the check with a completed donation form to Boys & Girls Club of Frederick County c/o TDF, 413 Burck Street, Frederick, MD 21701.  The status of the check will be pending until the check is received. 
As your donors make a contribution, they have the option of whether or not they want to appear in the Honor Roll.
Log in with your email and password to visit your headquarters page. Select ‘My Fundraising Report" on the left side. You will then find a list of all of your donors as well as a list of all donors to your team .
Click on the home page and begin typing the first or last name in the search text box "Find A Rider". Your options will display as you type.
To easily send thank-you emails to donors, follow these steps:
  1. Log in to your fundraiser dashboard by clicking the "My HQ" link in the top right
  2. Click "My Fundraising Report" in the left sidebar
  3. Locate the donor/donation you'd like to thank, and click "Send Email" (If the donor didn't submit their email address, this option is unavailable.)
  4. Type the message in the pop-up window, and click "Send Email"
